Almost a year ago, while walking on the streets of Beijing, we found this street vendor who was selling what seems to me as pan fried meats and vegetables.
We noticed a small gathering of people who were ordering a variety of stuff from the vendor and figured that it might be something worth trying.
We waited until we were the only one’s left and ordered mushrooms, leeks (probably), tofu and squid.
He immediately tossed these skewered items in his flat pan built on his cart and poured a little oil.
He sprinkled it with some seasoning and some chilli powder.
We immediately ate everything up and I was simply blown away by how flavourful those were. A simple and affordable snack that tasted really awesome!!!
Next time you visit Beijing, make sure to look for these small carts and try it out for yourself.
