Visit the Kanheri Caves
Here’s something for the archaeology buffs out there. Check out the Kanheri Caves located in the forest of Sanjay Gandhi national Park. The caves contain Buddhist sculptures and carvings dating from the 1st century BCE to the 10th century CE. Most of the caves are said to have been used in the past for living, studying and meditating. This is definitely something that is really worth seeing.

Global Vipassana Pagoda
For those who are interested to see more Buddhist monuments and structures, a visit to this Pagoda is a must. It’s a very serene and peaceful place to go to. You can practice meditating here together with the other local and foreign visitors alike. The hall is so huge that it has the capacity to handle 6000 people. There are also lots of Buddhist paintings to marvel at once you’re done meditating.
